Indian Origin Spinner plays for New Zealand National Cricket Team : 2013

Inderbir Singh Sodhi (aka. Ish Sodhi) made his debut for the New Zealand National Cricket team (nicknamed ‘BlackCaps’) against Banglasdesh during the New Zealand tour of Bangladesh . October 2013.

He was born on October 31st, 1992 in Ludhiana, Punjab(India) to Rajbir Singh Sodhi and mother Simrat Sodhi. The Sodhis migrated to Auckland in 1992 when Ish was only 4 years old.

At an early age he was enrolled in Papatoetoe Cricket Club, South Auckland . Ish Sodhi developed into a right arm leg spin bowler and began his cricketing career representing the Northern Districts.

New Zealand against Bangladesh    – Debut October 2013

T20 against West Indies           – Debut July 2014

3 Test series against Pakistan    – November 2014

One Day Cricket against Zimbabwe  – August 2015

Currently ICC World T-20          – March 2016
