First Indian Midwife Dr. Manju Chhugani Awarded ‘ Marie Goubran Agent of Change Award ‘ – 2020

Dr. Manju Chhugani , Professor, Dean – School of Nursing Sciences and Allied Health, Jamia Hamdard University has been selected for the award. She is the First Indian to be the proud recipient of the Award.

The award is to be presented at the 32nd International Confederation of Midwives Triennial Congress to be held in Bali, Indonesia.

The ‘Marie Goubran Agent of Change Award’ is conferred by the Netherlands based ‘International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) , 142 member associations , representing members of 123 countries.

First time IIM-Bangalore ranked in FT Global MBA-2014

Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore, (IIM-Bangalore)

For the first time in 2014, IIM-Bangalore made its debut globally. It was featured in the charts of ‘ Financial Times Global MBA 2014’ ranking list at the 68th position of the Top 100 .

Consequently it is now the third such Indian institution to have figured in the Top 100 Management Schools globally. The other two being IIM-Ahmedabad and Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

India’s TVS Motors Acquires British Motorcycles Manufacturer – Norton . April 2020

In an asset purchase agreement – the Chennai based TVS Motors, with Norton Motorcycles Holdings Ltd and Norton Motorcycles (U.K) Ltd concluded to acquire few assets, including the brand Norton and other associated brands.

The values of the cash deal was estimated at Rs. 153 crore (16 million British Pounds).

The 112-year old motorcycle company was founded by James Lansdowne Norton in Birmingham.
