Justin Narayan, an Australian youth pastor of Fijian-Indian heritage, was recently crowned the winner of MasterChef Australia 2021 (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar Premium and Disney+ Hotstar VIP). The 27-year-old — who admires the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver — chatted with The Telegraph on what the win means to him, his earliest memories of food and his Indian cuisine favourites.

Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee who is known for her films like ‘Angry Indian Goddesses’, ‘Parched’, and ‘UnIndian’ opposite Brett Lee, has joined the cast of upcoming action-drama ‘Cartel’.
She plays a pivotal role of ‘Romila’ who is an author, opposite Madhu Bhau (essayed by Jitendra Joshi) in the series ‘Cartel’. The actress will be performing a pole dance in one of the sequences.

While Chinese singer Li Quan recently revealed that he had just become a first-time father at 52, Hongkong-Indian actor Gill Mohindepaul Singh, better known as Q Bobo, has announced his impending ‘promotion’ to grandfather status at the same age.
Q Bobo became the first Indian actor to be signed by TVB in the mid-2000s and he went on to enjoy a successful career for years.
However, his drama offers started drying up in 2017, prompting him to leave the company in 2019 and move to Scotland, where his family is based.

** NFAI gets rare 450 glass slides of early Telugu cinema
In a major acquisition, the National Film Archive of India (NFAI) has acquired over 450 glass slides of early Telugu cinema to add to its existing collection, it was announced on Friday.
These slides – made by pressing a film positive between two thin square glasses – were used to publicise new films before release or during intervals in cinemas, NFAI Director Prakash Magdum said.
“The film positives used to prepare the glass slide were actually miniatures of the film poster or publicity material for newspapers and magazines. They represent the pictorial history of early Telugu cinema from the late 1930s to the mid-1950s and feature lovely frames tracing the gravitas of Telugu films during the early decades of Indian talkie,” he added.
